Asphalt Zipper asphalt reclaimers / stabilizers eliminate potholes, cracks & ruts through the process of full-depth reclamation. Asphalt Zipper machines pulverize asphalt into spec-comparable road base material that can be simultaneously blended with the existing base to improve its load bearing capability. You can also add additional aggregate, road base or numerous stabilizing additives for even greater stability, creating a stable road base for a small fraction of the time and cost of reconstruction.

Asphalt Zipper reclaimers / stabilizers are the quicker, easier and more cost effective way to do full-depth reclamation and soil stabilization. You can also do a wide range of asphalt milling / profiling and cold planing applications, including opening utility trench in asphalt. Asphalt Zipper machines pulverize asphalt and chip seal road surfaces into spec comparable road base material, in effect recycling your old worn out road surfaces into valuable reusable material. Models range from 30 inches wide all the way up to 8 feet. Most models will cut and pulverize up to 12 inch thick asphalt in a single pass. You can also easily control and adjust material gradation with the push of a button on the wireless remote control. Last, but not least, most models are easy to transport on their own custom trailer behind a work truck and can be unloaded and loaded in just minutes.

Absolutely! 8th generation Asphalt Zipper asphalt milling and cold planing machines have numerous features that enhance your milling capability. All models are engineered with milling skis on both sides of the machine to provide a flat starting point. Asphalt milling depth is infinitely adjustable with the remote control. Some models are equipped with special “Smart Cylinders” that also enable profile adjustments.

Thanks to the patented ZipTec™ Plus Enhanced Pulverizing System (420X model) and  Dual-Frame ZipTec™ Plus Enhanced Pulverizing System with Smart Cylinders (480Xi and 720Xi models), our Gen8 machines generate the finest material achievable, especially in thin, cracked, or alligatored asphalt and chip seal.  Our machines regularly produce 2-inch minus material or better.

If material is too coarse, simply close the rear baffle, and you may want to slow your speed.  If material is too fine, simply open the rear baffle and increase speed. Age, condition, and temperature of asphalt may impact material size.

Special government financing options are available through a third party bank. As a government entity, you qualify for a very low interest rate and can spread the cost of the machine over 3 to 6 years. The first annual payment is not due for an entire year after taking delivery of the machine. This program has enabled government entities to use the savings from using their Asphalt Zipper machines to cover the annual payment. So in effect, the machines pay for themselves.

Yes, custom trailers come with every model. Each trailer is engineered for smooth transport behind a work truck and easy unloading and loading.  Each trailer provides a convenient and safe work platform for routine maintenance.

Most customers purchase Asphalt Zipper cutting teeth, which are optimized for greater production and durability. These bits and all other parts can be purchased directly from the Asphalt Zipper factory, and we use standard bit sizes that are widely available. The short answer is just minutes. Asphalt Zipper machines have three connection options. The most popular option is our patented Versa-Mount system which quickly and easily connects to the bucket of most loaders or backhoes. You can also opt for a Versa-Mount™ Quick Coupler, which features a quick coupler that can be removed so you can also connect to a host vehicle bucket when you want to use a different host vehicle. Finally, you can also choose a Versa-Mount™ Side Shift and Tilt.

Yes. We have several machine sizes that fit a wide range of backhoes and loaders. A big benefit of Asphalt Zipper’s patented bucket mounting system is that you can securely connect to the bucket or quick coupler of most loaders and backhoes.
